TopUni Masterclass at DPS Fulbari | Class XII
By the time students reach Class XII, the question of what comes next begins to take on a new meaning. It is no longer simply about choosing a subject or preparing for an examination; it is about understanding which academic pathways, universities and opportunities could shape the years ahead.
Making those choices thoughtfully requires more than information. Students benefit from exposure—opportunities to hear different perspectives, ask questions and understand higher education beyond what they may find online or in a brochure.
It was with this in mind that Delhi Public School Fulbari, hosted the TopUni Masterclass on 4 August 2026 for its Class XII students. The experience brought university experts into direct conversation with students, followed by a Career Fair featuring representatives from 17 universities.
From exploring different higher-education perspectives to engaging in one-to-one conversations, the experience offered students an opportunity to look beyond the familiar and think more consciously about the choices ahead.
Why Does Direct University Exposure Matter for Class XII Students?
Class XII is when “what comes next?” begins to feel real. Students are preparing to make important choices about courses, universities and the career paths they may want to pursue.
While information about higher education is more accessible than ever, information alone does not always bring clarity. A university website or course brochure can explain what is offered, but students may still have questions about the learning experience, admissions, campus life and where a particular pathway could lead.
Direct interaction with university experts can bridge that gap. It gives students the opportunity to ask questions, compare options and understand different academic pathways through real conversations rather than information alone.
For students standing at the threshold of higher education, this kind of exposure can make their choices more informed and purposeful. And this is where bringing the world of higher education directly into the school environment becomes particularly meaningful.
Bringing Higher Education Closer to Students
Recognising the value of meaningful exposure at this stage, Delhi Public School Fulbari, in collaboration with TopUni Network, brought the world of higher education closer to its Class XII students through the TopUni Masterclass on 4 August 2026.
The initiative created a space where students could move beyond researching universities on their own and engage directly with people who understand the higher-education landscape. Through conversations with university experts, students had the opportunity to explore different academic environments, understand varied pathways and gain perspectives that could help them think more clearly about their next step.
More importantly, the Masterclass placed students at the centre of the experience. Instead of simply receiving information, they were given an opportunity to listen, question and engage with experts from leading institutions.
The strength of this experience, however, lay in the diversity of voices brought into the conversation, giving students access to perspectives from across India’s evolving higher-education landscape.
Learning Directly From University Experts
The real value of the Masterclass was in giving students the opportunity to hear directly from experts representing different parts of India’s higher-education landscape. These conversations offered perspectives that go beyond what students may find through websites, rankings or course brochures.
Students could listen, engage and begin to understand how universities differ in their academic environments, learning approaches and opportunities. This made higher education feel less like a list of choices and more like something they could explore in relation to their own interests and aspirations.
The experience was not simply about knowing the names of different universities. It was about understanding what those institutions and pathways could offer—and what might align with each student’s goals.
This breadth of perspective came from bringing together experts from a diverse range of leading institutions, giving students an opportunity to explore higher education from multiple viewpoints.
11 University Experts, Diverse Perspectives
The Masterclass brought together 11 experts representing a diverse range of leading higher-education institutions, giving students access to multiple perspectives within a single learning experience.
The participating experts included:
- Dr. Venkata Dilip Kumar Pasupuleti — Mahindra University
- Mr. Sofiul Ahmed — Alliance University
- Mr. Ankit Solanki — World University of Design
- Dr. Saurabh Trivedi — IILM University
- Mr. Tanmoy Goswami — RV University
- Mr. Aditya Sharma & Mr. Vatsal Kedia — Masters’ Union
- Mr. Mithun S. Ullal — Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
- Mr. Dishant Pradhan — FLAME University
- Ms. Urbi Chatterjee — Ashoka University
- Mr. Sandeep Singh — Apollo University
Together, their participation reflected the breadth of pathways available to students as they begin exploring higher education. For Class XII students, hearing from representatives of different institutions created an opportunity to look at university choices from more than one perspective.
But the experience didn’t stop with listening to experts.
From Listening to Exploring: The Career Fair
The experience then moved from listening to exploring through a Career Fair featuring representatives from 17 leading universities. The one-to-one format gave students the opportunity to engage directly with university representatives and ask questions relevant to their own interests and aspirations.
These conversations added a practical dimension to the Masterclass. While a presentation can introduce students to new possibilities, a personal conversation can help them understand whether a particular course, university or pathway could suit them.
Students could therefore move beyond simply discovering universities to exploring the choices that may shape their next stage of education.
And that naturally raises an important question: what should students explore before choosing a university?
Beyond Information: Building Confidence Through Exposure
The value of such an experience extends beyond the information students receive on the day. Exposure allows them to compare perspectives, question assumptions and think more carefully about the choices ahead.
For Class XII students, knowing that different universities and pathways exist is only the beginning. Understanding how those options differ can help them identify what may align with their interests and aspirations.
Direct conversations also make it easier for students to engage with questions about their future. The more they listen, ask and explore, the more confidently they can approach important decisions.
Exposure does not make those decisions for students; it gives them the perspective to make them more thoughtfully.
Better questions can lead to better decisions—and sometimes, the right conversation is where those questions begin.
Learning That Extends Beyond the Classroom
Some of the most meaningful learning happens when students have the opportunity to connect what they learn in school with the world beyond it. Interacting with experts, exploring real-world academic pathways and understanding the choices that lie ahead can add a valuable dimension to classroom learning.
The TopUni Masterclass offered Class XII students precisely this kind of exposure. It gave them an opportunity to engage with higher-education professionals, explore different perspectives and think more consciously about their next stage of education.
Experiences like these encourage students to look beyond textbooks and marksheets and begin considering how their interests, choices and aspirations connect with the wider world.
For DPS Fulbari, creating such opportunities is part of giving students a learning experience that extends beyond the conventional classroom, one that encourages curiosity, awareness and thoughtful decision-making.
And with greater awareness comes greater readiness for the journey ahead.
Preparing Students for Their Next Chapter
For every Class XII student, the journey beyond school begins with a series of important choices. While no single event can provide every answer, the right exposure can make those decisions more informed, thoughtful and confident.
The TopUni Masterclass created an environment where students could broaden their perspectives, engage in meaningful conversations and explore higher education through direct interaction with university experts and representatives. More than discovering institutions, it encouraged them to think critically about the opportunities ahead.
As students prepare for the next chapter of their academic journey, experiences like these remind them that informed choices begin with informed exposure.
Every student’s path to higher education is unique, but the confidence to shape that journey often begins with the opportunity to explore it. Through theirmutual support, DPS Fulbari and TopUni Network continue to create meaningful experiences that help students approach the future with curiosity, awareness and purpose.
