What Fast Track VI Represents at DPS Fulbari

Fast Track VI  the Annual Sports Day of Delhi Public School, Fulbari for the 2025–26 academic session. It was held over two days — 30th and 31st January 2026 — with students taking part in a wide range of sports and athletic activities.

The event is conducted as a multi-day sports meet, which gives enough time and oppurtunity for each age group to participate in different events. This helps to keep the program organised and fair for every student.

Fast Track VI is not just about winning races or medals. The main aim is to help students learn the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition. Through the meet, students learn how to follow rules, stay focused, and support each other — skills that are useful in life, not just in sports.

The sports meet also plays an important role in the school’s overall education programme. It brings together classroom learning and co-curricular activities to help students grow in a balanced way.

A Structured Start: Opening Ceremony and Protocol

Formal Inauguration of the Meet

The day began with the assembly of all participating students at 9:30 A.M. Students lined up according to their houses and age groups, showing discipline and readiness for the events ahead.

The opening ceremony included flag hoisting and the lighting of the torch, which officially marked the beginning of Fast Track VI. This was followed by the oath taking, where students pledged to participate with honesty, fairness, and sportsman spirit. After this, the sports meet was formally declared open.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Neyaz Ahmed, Dy. Commandant, CRPF. His presence added importance to the occasion and reminded students of values such as discipline, leadership, dedication, and service to the nation, which are closely linked to both sports and life.

March Past and Demonstrations

After the inauguration, students took part in a House-Wise March Past, displaying coordination, confidence, and teamwork. The March Past reflected the discipline and regular practice of the students.

This was followed by a Bagpipe Band and NCC demonstration, which added a sense of pride and formality to the event. The performances showed control, timing, and unity among the participants.

A karate demonstration was also presented, highlighting self-control, strength, and focus. It showed students how physical training helps build mental strength along with fitness.

 

Participation Across Age Groups

Early Years: Pre-Nursery to Prep

Students from Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Prep took part in movement-based activities specially planned for their age. These events focused on simple actions such as running, balancing, and moving in a playful way.

The main goal at this level was to build confidence and coordination. The events were short, safe, and encouraging, helping young children enjoy physical activity without pressure. Teachers and staff were present throughout to guide and support the children at every step.

Primary and Middle School: Classes I to VI

Students from Classes I to VI participated in more structured sporting events. To ensure fairness and proper competition, participants were grouped into Sub-Junior and Junior categories based on their age and class level.

Boys and girls competed in separate categories, allowing equal opportunity for all students. This clear grouping helped maintain balance, safety, and fair competition, while encouraging students to give their best performance.

Range of Sporting Events and Skills Developed

Track Events and Speed

Fast Track VI included a variety of track events, such as sprint and flat races, for different age groups. These races helped students improve their speed, agility, and stamina.

Through regular practice and participation, students learned how to start correctly, maintain balance while running, and finish strong. These events encouraged students to push themselves while also following rules and instructions.

Skill and Coordination-Based Events

Several events were planned to improve balance, focus, and coordination. These activities required students to move carefully, stay alert, and complete tasks with control.

Such events helped students develop hand-eye coordination and body control, especially for younger participants. They also taught patience and concentration, as success depended more on accuracy than speed.

Strength and Field Events

Fast Track VI also featured strength and field events, including obstacle races, throwing activities, and jumping events. These activities tested students’ strength, endurance, and ability to move confidently.

Students were guided on basic athletic techniques, such as safe landing and proper movement. These events helped build physical discipline and encouraged students to understand the importance of correct posture and controlled effort.




Coordinated Performances and Cultural Segments

Drill and Group Performances

Students from Pre-Nursery to Class II presented well-planned drill performances during the sports meet. These performances showed simple movements done together as a group.

The drills focused on rhythm, coordination, and discipline. Through these activities, students learned how to listen to instructions, move in step with others, and work as a team. It also helped build confidence, especially for younger children performing in front of a large audience.

Sports Dance Performance

A sports dance performance was also included as part of the programme. This performance added energy and excitement to the event and gave students a chance to express themselves through movement.

The sports dance balanced the competitive events by combining fitness with creativity. It showed that physical activity can be enjoyable and expressive, while still promoting strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Event Management and Supervision

Role of Teachers and Sports Faculty

Each event during Fast Track VI was supervised by designated teachers and sports faculty members. Their role was to guide students, explain rules clearly, and ensure that every event was conducted in an orderly and fair manner.

Special attention was given to student safety at all times. Teachers closely monitored the activities, helped students when needed, and made sure that rules were followed. This careful supervision helped the events run smoothly and kept the environment safe and supportive.

Use of Designated Sporting Areas

Different events were conducted in clearly marked areas, such as the track, throwing zones, and jumping areas. This proper use of space helped avoid crowding and confusion.

The events were planned and conducted in a well-organised sequence, allowing students to move from one activity to another without delay. This efficient planning ensured that the sports meet continued without disruption and that all events were completed on time.

Recognition, Motivation, and Fair Play

Continuous Prize Distribution

During Fast Track VI, prizes were given regularly after groups of events were completed. This kept students motivated and maintained excitement throughout the sports meet. Students were recognised without long waiting periods, which made the experience more encouraging and engaging.

Awards were presented across different age groups and event categories so that students at every level received appreciation for their effort and participation. This helped promote healthy competition while maintaining fairness and positivity.

  • Green House – 1st Position: KIRTI (GREEN) Kirtiyasya Seh Jeevati – Legacy is Immortal
  • Blue House – 2nd Position: JAGRITI, Ahimsa Parmo Dharma – Non-violence is the highest Virtue 
  • Red House – 3rd Position: PRERNA, Karmaniya Vadhikaraste – Duty is Supreme 
  • Yellow House – 4th Position: PRAGATI, Udyamen Hi Sidyhyanti Karyani – Hardwork is the key to Success

The house rankings reflected teamwork, consistency, and strong participation from students across all classes.

Best Athlete Awards

Special Best Athlete awards were presented separately for boys and girls in different categories to recognise students who performed strongly across multiple events. The focus was on consistency, effort, sportsmanship, and overall performance.

Parent Participation and Community Engagement

Fast Track VI also included special sporting events for parents, allowing them to take part in the celebration. These activities brought parents onto the field and added a sense of joy and involvement to the sports meet.

Parent participation helped strengthen the bond between the school and families. By joining the events, parents experienced the spirit of the Sports Day alongside their children and teachers.

The sports meet became more than just a student event. It turned into a community experience, where students, parents, and staff came together to support one another and celebrate active living and teamwork.
