Mrs Sudha Thapa, M/o. Kizam Thandup Tamang, IV-C
Chandrayan-3 is the successful moon mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The mission Chadrayaan 3 was launched on 14th July 2023, from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. On 23rd August 2023, the mission has achieved successful soft-landing on the moon. Our country India has created history as it became the first country to land on the South Pole of moon surface. The Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft consists of three modules-an orbiter, a lander and a Rover. The three main objectives of this mission are: to demonstrate a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface, to demonstrate a rover roving on the moon and to conduct in-site experiments. The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 has marked a huge achievement for India’s space program.
